The Fifth Annual Conquer the Current In Essex

ESSEX, CT — The fifth annual Conquer the Current down the river paddle regatta is just around the corner. It will be held on July 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The registration fee is $60 per solo vessel, $80 per multi-person vessel, for men and women age 16 and over. This friendly, annual, nine-mile, one-way race is open to all non-motorized, safe, and seaworthy paddle crafts such as; kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and more. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Connecticut River Museum’s educational programs and camps. Gather up friends and family and come take part in an unforgettable day out on the Connecticut River. Enjoy sun, sport, fun and a little friendly competition.
