Here are the top three stories today in Essex-Chester-Deep River:
- State Representative Christine Palm, (D-36) wrote the following letter to the Chester community praising them for their inclusive downtown area: "With so much division abroad in the land, it is a joy to drive into (or stroll through) downtown Chester and see how many merchants are flying the Progress Pride flag. It’s especially heartening to see it fly alongside the POW flag, and the American flag, which, after all, symbolizes freedom for all citizens.
Thank you, Honeycone, Wayfinder, Little House, Lori Warner Gallery, Simon’s, The Hive, The Pattaconk, Black Kat Leathers, The Space, Lark, The Shops at the Millhouse and Reboot Eco. (Apologies if I missed anyone in downtown Chester!) Visibility and solidarity are more important than ever." - The iconic Deep River Ancient Muster is just around the corner. Start making plans now! The date for this year’s muster is Saturday, July 16, with “DRAM Weekend” running from July 15 thru July 17. Be prepared that the on-field parking that is behind the camping area, along the tree line, will no longer be available. The camping area has been expanded to allow for more space between campsites. More information to come! (Deep River Ancient Muster via Facebook)
