Five Fabulous Weekend Finds

Looking for fun, excitement and good times? Or maybe you are seeking to relax, chill and hangout! Check out these events!

ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — It's the weekend and its beautiful weather, so what will you be doing? Here are five fun finds that you might like to check out in and around Essex, Chester and Deep River:

1. Outdoor yoga class series at Big Bay Farm is back for a second summer. Classes begin May 22 and continue through September 4. Weekly class each Saturday at 8:30 am to 9:45 am. $10/per person, cash or Venmo. Free parking. Bring your own mat and blanket or beach towel as class is held in a field. COVID protocols will be followed.Renee LaMark Muir (E-RYT 500) leads vinyasa flow classes that are open to all levels.

3. Yoga at the Bushy Hill Nature Center farm Saturdays at 9 a.m. RSVP so we know who to expect! It’s exciting relaxing and the goats love to help you do the moves. RSVP to info@bushyhill.org.

4. The Westbrook Carnival at Westbrook Outlets will be held May 21 – May 31. This is a Rockwell Amusements carnival that features carnival rides, games, food and more family fun.

5. Stonington Vineyards Kick-Off the Summer Weekend May 22-23. Celebrate the start of the season with live music, vendors, food, & wine from 11-5PM! Offerings are OUTDOORS ONLY, rain or shine, and no tents are provided. You may bring your own tents for your use. Outside food is welcome, but no outside alcohol is permitted on property.
Tickets are available now and must be purchased for a specific date. Tickets are non-refundable and are good only for the date you purchased.

$20 per guest- includes a glass of wine and keepsake glass to take home. Cellar society is $16 per guest but must call the winery at 860.535.1222 to purchase. Children are free with parent, however must remain with their group. If space is available, we will have day of tickets for $25/person.
