  1. The lobsters are coming to Chester on Sept. 9 for the Rotary Club of Chester's 52nd annual Lobster Festival. Take part in the annual celebration of friends and family while enjoying live music and a delicious meal. (Town of Chester Connecticut via Facebook)
  2. The Essex Democratic Town Committee will be holding a summer send-off gathering on Sept. 13, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Surfridge Brewing Company in Centerbrook. Special guest Attorney General William Tong will be there, along with State Comptroller Sean Scanlon. Tickets for the event are $35. (Essex Democrats via Facebook)
  3. Mark your calendars for the Ninth Annual Chester Dog Fair which is set to take place Sept. 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 11 Kirtland Terrace in Chester. There will be vendors, exciting demonstrations, food trucks and craft beer and wine, a microchipping clinic, lure coursing, doggie Olympics, nail trimming, live music and more. This event is Homeward Bound CT’s biggest fundraiser. All proceeds from this event go to funding large adoption events and Spay it Forward initiatives. $5 Admission is $5 per person and $10 per family. Hope to see you there! (Facebook Events)
