ESSEX, CT β€” Essex Historical Society hosts a Holiday Drive-In Food Drive

Sunday, December 5, 12 - 3 p.m.
Pratt House, 19 West Ave. Essex

Come help us stuff our historic wagon!
During this season of giving, EHS will be hosting a β€œDrive-In” Food Drive, Sunday, Dec. 5, noon – 3pm at Pratt House, 19 West Avenue, Essex. Please help us β€œstuff” the beautiful 19th century wagon that sits outside the historic 1732 Pratt House! Your donation of non-perishable food items will help support the Shoreline Soup Kitchen & Pantries, as the need for nutritious food continues to grow during this pandemic. The Pantry is looking for soup, juice, tuna, cereal and other non-perishables. Your food donations will be most appreciated.
EHS is pleased to co-host the event with our long-term collaborators, Essex Land Trust. NEW this year will be a visit from the β€œChocolates Van” from Essex Chocolates, offering hot beverages and sweet treats for purchase.
To ensure social distancing or even contact-less drop-offs, participants are welcome to β€œDrive-In” to Pratt House’s large lawn, drop off their donations themselves or have the EHS team remove it from the trunk of your car. Appointments for porch pickups can also be arranged with 24-hour notice please, ehs@essexhistory.org.
EHS thanks Ralph Hermann of Antique Auto Services for the loan of his historic wagon.
