Honoring and Remembering Those Who Helped NYC On 9/11

Local firefighters along with the Connecticut River Museum will be holding a morning of Appreciation and Remembrance on 9/11.

ESSEX, CT — Stories and Fireboats with the Essex Volunteer Fire Department!

Join the Connecticut River Museum on Saturday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Patriots’ Day) for Stories, Firefighters, and a Fireboat!

A morning of Appreciation and Remembrance! Book readings by Essex Fire Department Firefighters Fireboat Demonstrations at the Docks, Interactive Fire Equipment on the Lawn Firefighters, along with museum staff, will read children’s books about the fireboats (and other boats) that assisted in helping the people of NYC on the morning of September 11, 2001.
