How Far Can Your Dog Jump Off A Dock? Come Find Out!
The annual "Dogs on the Dock" event will be held at the Connecticut River Museum on Sunday, October 10th.

ESSEX, CT — Sunday, October 10, 1 – 3 p.m. "Dogs on the Dock" in downtown Essex!
The waterfront lawn of the Connecticut River Museum will once again be “going to the dogs” with “Dogs On The Dock” parade and competition. Dog owners and dog lovers alike are invited to attend rain or shine. Dog participant registration starts at 1 p.m. A blessing of the dogs and the lawn parade are followed by individual canine competitions. Featured categories include best costume, best nautical costume, best owner look-alike, smallest dog, biggest dog, best trick and best dock jumping. Dock jumping dogs must wear a harness to participate.
Net proceeds of the event are being donated to area pet organizations.
All dogs must have a 2021 license and rabies tag to participate.
Register on site at 1 p.m.. $10 per dog, $5 per additional dog.
