  1. Be transported to Peru for an evening in August at the Chakana Sky Alpaca Farm in Chester. This unique and exclusive opportunity to connect with Peruvian cuisine, history, tradition, and the arts is being put on by the Wild Orchard Supper Club. Only 30 seats will be available for this cultural event which will include traditional Peruvian food as well as an informative tour of the farm. Farmer Bill will guide guests through an up close and educational experience with his herd of over 20 beautiful and fascinating alpacas. Guests will also get the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of Peruvian music and paint indigenous-inspired pottery before enjoying dinner, while watching a surprise performance of the traditional Peruvian folk dance, the Marinera Nortena.   2. If you are looking for some good eats you will soon have a new option at Foxwood's Gran Pequot Tower. Gordon Ramsey has plans of opening a new Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen. Doors are reportedly set to open Saturday, July 15. The eatery will be open for lunch Friday to Sunday and dinner seven days a week. (i95rock.com)
  3. A U.S. Geological Survey discovered that forever chemicals were found at two areas, tracked as "military sites" in Connecticut. According to a Patch article written by Rich Kirby, "[The sites were] at Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, investigators suspect the contamination can be traced back to firefighting foam [and] Stone Ranch Military Reservation Water System, in New London County."
