  1. You're invited to join the Shell and Bee Studio Workshop at the Chester Library on Aug. 23, to be part of the upcycled birdhouse program inspired by Tyree Gyton's Heidelberg Project of 1986. Use 'magic' trash to make unique birdhouses. Participants must be 18+ and registration is required. Hope to see you there. (Town of Chester via Facebook)
  2. Get ready for Popsicles With The Principal at Essex Elementary School on Aug. 18 from 4:40 to 5:30 p.m. This is a great way for students to meet the new principal of the school David Kitzman, before the doors officially open for the 2023-24 school year. (Essex Elementary School PTO via Facebook)
  3. Look up in the sky tonight and enjoy. The Perseid meteor shower will peak this weekend and the Delta Aquariid meteor shower will also be taking place at the same time. Enjoy nature's nighttime show. (Patch)
