Popular Essex North Pole Express Tickets On Sale Soon
If you want to get in on the popular holiday excursion, tickets will be available next month.
ESSEX, CT — It might still be the wet dog days of summer, but the Christmas season will be here before you know it.
With that in mind, the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat will begin sales for the 2024 North Pole Express next month.
Individual ticket sales will begin Sept. 11. Sales for full, half, or quarter train cars begin Sept. 10. Tickets are on sale online only and start at $60. All tickets are first come, first served.

The North Pole Express will run from Nov. 14 to Dec. 23.
"Board our locomotive-powered sleigh for a magical nighttime journey to the North Pole," the 2024 North Pole Express website reads. "Every coach becomes a stage for a LIVE musical performance of 'The Night Before Christmas.' Celebrate the spirit of the season with Santa and Mrs. Claus, festive sing-a-longs, hot chocolate and sugar cookies.

"Each child will receive a small gift from Santa. Children are invited to wear their favorite pajamas! Make sure those PJs are warm and cozy…it’s cold up at the North Pole!"
