DEEP RIVER, CT — Municipal Election/Referendum to be held In Deep River on November 2, 2021.

Absentee ballots are now available for the November 2, 2021, Municipal Election. Applications for an absentee ballot are available online or in-person at the Town Clerk's office. They may be dropped in the Ballot Drop Box in front of the Town Hall. Parents MAY NOT sign their child's application. Doing so constitutes voter fraud and is a punishable offense.

There will be a referendum question on the ballot for Regional School District #4. A special informational meeting on this question will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. via Google Meet.

The Electors of the Town of Deep River are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling place in said Town on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, for the following purposes:

1. To cast their votes for First Selectman (1); Selectman (2); Town Clerk (1); Town Treasurer (1); Tax
Collector (1); Board of Finance, Full Term (2); Board of Assessment Appeals, Full Term
(1); Education, Full Term (2); Board of Education, To Fill Vacancy for Two Years (2); Board of
Assessment Appeals, Full Term (1); Board of Assessment Appeals, To Fill Vacancy for Four Years
(1); Library Trustees, Full Term (3); Library Trustees, To Fill Vacancy for Four Years (2); Ethics
Commission, Full Term (2); Agent of School Deposit Fund (1); Regional Board of Education, Full
Term (1).
2. To cast their votes on the following question:
“Shall Regional School District No. 4, comprised of the Towns of Chester, Deep River and Essex,
appropriate $952,053 for the cost of the John Winthrop Middle School Security Project and
authorize the issuance of bonds, notes or temporary notes in an amount not to exceed $952,053
to finance the appropriation?”

Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling place is as follows:

Absentee ballots will be counted at the following central location: Deep River Library Community
Meeting Room, 174 Main Street, Deep River, CT 06417.
Voting tabulators will be used. The polls will be opened at six o’clock in the morning (6 a.m.) and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8 p.m.).
