Here are the top three stories in Essex-Chester-Deep River today:
- Valley Regional High School is losing several steadfast staff members to retirement. According to the Valley Courier article, the list includes the head of the School-to-Career program Mary Hambor, Administrative Assistant-Receptionist Tina Stoddard, Paraeducator Gene Richard, Special Education Teacher Judith Redhead, Bookkeeper Valerie Owen, Transition Co-ordinator Kristina Len and School Counselor Lorraine Duffy who retired in January. - In small communities such as the Chester, Deep River, Essex community, when a family needs help everyone comes together to give aid. Right now the Knowlton-Wade family are in need of a little extra help. Baby Luci just returned home and is recovering from her second major surgery in her short life. Her parents are focusing all their energy on lovingly tending to Luci. In an effort help take away some of their burden of care, locals are being asked to drop off some meals. - Don't forget, Saturday, June 11, the Veterans Memorial Hall in Centerbrook will be holding its annual tag sale.
