The Deep River Planning & Zoning Commission will be hosting a public information session at its February 17th regular meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. to begin the process of having Deep River develop a municipal Affordable Housing Plan as mandated in Section 8-30j of the CT General Statutes. This local plan is being undertaken as part of a wider Regional Housing Plan being led by RiverCOG, and is targeted for completion in May-June, 2022. The public information session on the 17th will review existing housing conditions and population demographics in Deep River, and will discuss how the Town’s current zoning and other regulations affect the development of housing in Deep River.
