Traffic Flow Is Being Upset By The Route 80 Construction Project

ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — An email was sent out Monday afternoon from Region 4 concerning traffic flow in the area of schools and the Route 80 construction project. The email read:

"Dear Chester, Deep River, Essex, and Region 4 Families, Due to the Route 80 construction project, there is increased traffic on Kelsey Hill Road and John Winthrop Road. With this in mind, we are encouraging families to utilize available bus transportation. This will reduce the number of vehicles on the road and streamline the traffic flow. We would also request that community members use the Route 80 full detour and avoid Kelsey Hill Road and John Winthrop during school hours. Thank you for your patience and support."
