Here are the top three stories in Essex-Chester-Deep River today:
- Do you like to volunteer? Would you like to be part of something special for the Senior class at Valley Regional High School? Why not chaperone the Safe Grad celebration event, which will be held on Tuesday, June 13? Any adult can volunteer, and you can sign up with friends. Underclassmen parents, please consider paying-it-forward, as your senior will need chaperones when they graduate, and you get to see what Safe Grad night is all about! For more information please email valleysafegrad@gmail.com for details. (Valley Safegrad)
- It's been confirmed by the owner Los Charros Cantina, Colt Taylor, that the Mexican restaurant will be leaving Essex this spring and relocating to Branford. The reason for the move, according to letter from Taylor to his customers, is that the cost of doing business in the large building is too much to maintain. According to CT Insider, "Colt wrote, 'It's become clear that the economics of our business [are] unsustainable in the current location, and have found a smaller space that is more cost-efficient."' (CT Insider)
