Volunteers Needed In Chester

CHESTER, CT —The Chester Community Partnership is seeking volunteers to join its “Technology Team.” Volunteers must be familiar with computers, smart phones or tablets and have experience navigating the Internet, websites, and online forms. We welcome the expertise of high school students and young professionals!!! A familiarity with 211 or Federal/State/Local assistance programs is preferred, but not required. The Chester Community Partnership will train volunteers on a 211-Chester, which includes the federal, state, and local resources most likely to match the needs of residents. Using a “coaching model”, the “Tech Team” will teach residents who may not have access to technology how to use computer/tablet/smart phone to complete various online applications for assistance. This coaching will be provided in a designated area at the Chester Public Library.
