- There is a lot going on at the Deep River Fire Department, the annual Lime Sale is coming up on April 15 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and on May 6, it will be hosting its first ever Pasta Dinner. The event is being co-hosted by the Deep River Elementary School PTO. Pre-sale tickets are on sale now for the event. - All Deep River children, pre-k through 6th grade are invited to get your Easter baskets ready. The hunt is almost here. Come to Devitt Field Saturday, April 1 for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. There will be a special guest appearance by the Easter Bunny at 10:45 a.m. and then the hunt will follow promptly at 11 a.m. Plan to stick around for photos with the Easter Bunny and games. - Area residents take note! The water main replacement project on Summit Street, Blake Street, Chestnut Street and Oak Street will be starting on April 3. The Connecticut Water Company (CWC) will be replacing the water main on these streets. The work hours will be 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be completed by June 15. (essexct.gov)
