CHESTER, CT — According to a celebratory Facebook post from the Wheatmarket, on this day in 1991 at 1 p.m. the keys to The WheatMarket were handed from Jerry Beaumier to Dennis and Joan Welch.

"We are proud to announce that today marks their 30th anniversary of ownership.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. Without all of you, there would be no Wheatmarket.
