Fairfield First Selectperson's Candidate Forum - Open to Public with Registration
Fairfield Rotary Club to Host First Selectperson’s Forum Ahead of Special Election
FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Fairfield Rotary Club will sponsor a public forum Jan. 12 for candidates in the upcoming First Selectperson special election. The event will run from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gaelic‑American Club, 74 Beach Road. A snow date is set for Jan. 26.
Democrat First Selectman Christine Vitale and Republican State Senator Tony Hwang will answer questions vetted by Rotary members and submitted by the public. Each candidate will also deliver a closing statement.
The forum is designed to give voters an opportunity to hear directly from both candidates about issues facing Fairfield.
