East Granby School Employee Facing Child Porn Charges: Enfield Police
The East Granby Public Schools paraprofessional is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond after being arrested Wednesday at his Enfield home.

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield resident who police said works as a paraprofessional for East Granby Public Schools was arrested at his home Wednesday afternoon on charges of first-degree possession of child pornography.
Jason Hurrle, 29, was taken into custody shortly before 5 p.m. upon execution of a search-and-seizure warrant by Enfield police, assisted by members of the Homeland Security Investigations Division. An investigation had been launched following a cyber tip regarding the possession and dissemination of child pornography, police said.
Lt. Joshua Marquis confirmed to Patch that Hurrle works in the East Granby schools. No further details about the case have yet been released.

Patch has reached out to Superintendent of Schools Melissa Bavaro-Grande seeking comment. As of 4:45 p.m. Thursday, no response had been received.
Hurrle is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond, and is slated to be arraigned Thursday in Hartford Superior Court.
