Granby Police Sergeant Promoted To Captain

Newly-promoted Captain Kurt LaFlamme has been a supervisor for 16 of his 20 years with the Granby Police Department.

GRANBY, CT — A sergeant who has worked for the Granby Police Department for two decades is now a captain, officials said.

Kurt LaFlamme, who was recently promoted to captain, has been a supervisor for 16 of his 20 years at the Granby Police Department. He also leads the North Central Regional Crisis Negotiation Team, officials said.

In 2013, Captain LaFlamme graduated from the FBI National Academy — a 10-week program that less than 1 percent of law enforcement officers have attended — and he is also a graduate of the FBI Law Enforcement Command Development Leadership Institute.
