Granby Will Distribute COVID-19 Test Kits, N95 Masks On Thursday
Citing a limited number of kits, the city requested that only those with an "immediate need" for testing attend the distribution.

GRANBY, CT — The town of Granby will distribute free COVID-19 self-test kits on Thursday — but officials are asking that only those with an "immediate need" for testing attend the distribution.
People with an "immediate need" are symptomatic with a fever, chills or cough, and/or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms of the virus.
Anyone who falls into one of those categories is invited to attend the drive-thru distribution, which will take place at Salmon Brook Park beginning at 5 p.m. for as long as supplies last. Attendees will receive one kit per household.

The town has a very limited supply of test kits and they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, officials said.
"If you received a test kit at the initial distribution please think about the many residents who were turned away last time," officials said in a news release announcing the event.

Proof of residency is required, and the town is requesting that attendees wear masks. If possible, the town wants symptomatic residents to have someone else from their household pick up the kit.
Officials called the event "a stop gap measure" to help those with an immediate need get tested until testing is readily available again.
N95 masks will be handed out during the distribution as well, and they can also be found at the Municipal Complex (15 North Granby Road) at the Library, Police Department, and Town Hall during business hours.
Anyone with questions about the test kit and mask distribution event should contact the Town Manager's Office at (860) 844-5300.
