GRANBY, CT — The latest journey to a Hidden Gem takes us to a quiet fishing spot in north central Connecticut.

It's Bryan's Landing, a fully accessible angling platform located on the banks of Salmon Brook in Granby. It is named after Bryan Forsyth, who died at the age of 21 in 1997. In his memory, his friends and family teamed up with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the town of Granby to build a fishing area anyone could use.

Bryan's Landing is on Canal Rd., just off Rt. 20, about a half-mile from the center of Granby. A small paved parking area and a level asphalt walkway lead to a wooden deck with a bench that overlooks the brook.
