Tree Worker Sustains Head Injury From Falling Tree: Granby Police

The victim was found on a steep slope, necessitating assistance from members of the Lost Acres Fire Department to carry him out.

GRANBY, CT — A tree worker sustained a head injury when struck by a falling tree on Chatsworth Drive late Wednesday morning, according to police.

Around 11:59 a.m., Granby police responding to the scene found a man with a head injury and treated him until Granby Ambulance arrived. The LifeStar medical helicopter was initially requested, but was canceled when the injuries were found to be non-
life-threatening, police said.

Due to the work-related injury, OSHA was notified of the incident, police said.
