Weapons Found At Elementary School In East Granby; Local Man Arrested
Two handguns were discovered in an elementary student's belongings late Friday morning, according to state police.

EAST GRANBY, CT — An East Granby man was arrested Friday in connection with the discovery of a pair of handguns at the Carl Allgrove Elementary School.
Around 11:32 a.m., state and local police responded to the school to investigate a report of a student in possession of weapons. School staff had discovered the weapons in the student’s belongings and immediately secured them, state police said.
An investigation determined the guns were owned by Kenneth Pariaug, 32. He was charged with reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor, and released on a $10,000 surety bond. He is slated for arraignment Dec. 22 in Hartford Superior Court, state police said.

No injuries were reported and there is no ongoing threat to the public, according to state police.
