After a Hit-and-Run Crash, Greenwich Driver Faces DWI Charge
The driver of the car hit in the crash followed the offending motorist and called police.
Greenwich Police arrested a woman on a driving while intoxicated charge after she reportedly was involved in a hit-and-run crash and caught after the victim followed the driver and called police.
It was about 3:15 a.m. Dec. 19 when the 23-year-old driver reportedly hit a car at the intersection of Steamboat Road and Railroad Avenue, according to a police report. The driver took off and the victim called police to report the incident and say they followed the driver to the intersection of Fawcett Place and Greenwich Avenue.
It was there that Greenwich police said they found a driver with a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her. The operation was subjected to field sobriety tests, but failed the tests,” according to the police report.

The driver, identified as Alana K. Fallon, 23, of Chestnut Street, Pleasantville, NY, was charged with drawing under the influence, evading responsibility, and failure to signal.
Fallon was unable to post a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 28 in state Superior Court in Stamford, according to the report.
