Garage Fire Breaks Out In Greenwich: FD
The fire extended from a detached garage to the main house, according to the Greenwich Fire Department.
GREENWICH, CT — A garage fire broke out at a home in Greenwich Thursday morning, and crews worked for approximately 40 minutes to bring the blaze under control, according to the Greenwich Fire Department.
Units were dispatched to a home in the 40 block of Byfield Lane at 6:12 a.m. for a fire in a detached garage, the GFD said, noting the fire extended to the main house.
"The garage and home sustained severe damage, thankfully there were no injuries," the GFD said in a social media post. "Thank you to our mutual aid partners that assisted as well as Greenwich Police and Greenwich EMS."
