Joe Valvano, president of Coldwell Banker Realty in Connecticut and Westchester, New York, is pleased to announce that Julie Peters has been appointed branch vice president of the company’s Global Luxury offices in Greenwich and Old Greenwich, overseeing approximately 200 sales associates serving Fairfield County.

For more than 16 years, Peters has been an award-winning real estate broker and a recognized leader among her peers in Fairfield County real estate. She holds a degree in advertising with an emphasis in marketing from Southern Methodist University. Early in her career, she was trained as a professional buyer for Neiman Marcus. Peters expanded her professional experience into sales and worked as the director of corporate accounts for Ralph Lauren Intimates. In 2005, Peters entered the real estate industry as a licensed salesperson and more recently obtained her broker’s license. Her expertise in marketing, negotiating price and terms of a transaction, and her ability to bring two parties together were the trademarks of her business.

Peters’ success has earned her industry and individual accolades. In December 2020, the members of the Darien Board of REALTORS® selected her as 2020 REALTOR® of the year. Peters’ passion for real estate, her deep commitment to its professionalism and her promotion of the local community are some of the reasons her peers chose her for this honor. Her sales performance at the local level resulted in her being consistently a top agent and nationally she has been named to the Real Trends America’s Best Real Estate Professionals year after year.

Peters’ memberships include the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®, Darien Board of REALTORS®, New Canaan Board of REALTORS®, Connecticut Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. She has served as a director on the Darien Board of REALTORS® and Multiple Listing Service from 2018-2020 and as the vice-president/president-elect in 2018 before her election to president in 2019 and 2020. She has also served on the Membership, Technology and Finance committees. Her service to the profession extends to the state level where she has served as a Connecticut Association of REALTORS® director as well as on the Risk Reduction and Nominating committees.

Peters is originally a native of Southern California but has lived in Connecticut for the past 26 years. She and her husband have raised their three boys who attended all levels of Darien public schools. Her past involvement in community organizations include OPUS for Person to Person, Darien High School Parents Association, Norwalk Grass Roots Tennis and First Congregational Church of Darien. She is a dog lover and an avid tennis, platform tennis and pickleball player.
