Greenwich Teen Faces Threatening, Criminal Mischief Charges

The 17-year-old is accused of threatening an ex-friend and kicking a car.

A Greenwich teen is facing criminal mischief, threatening and breach of peace charges in connection with an incident on Riverside Avenue.

It was about 12:41 p.m. Dec. 8 when the 17-year-old reportedly saw a former friend with a male acquaintance inside a parked car. “The suspect began screaming at both,” according to Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray. The suspect is accused of then threatening to drag the female passenger from the car and then kicked and damaged the vehicle and threatening the male driver, Gray said.

A short time later, the teen, who’s identity is being withheld because of her age, “sent text message to the female threatening that someone was watching her and she continued to threaten” both victims, Gray said.
