UPDATE: GREENWICH TRAFFIC ALERT: Power Line Repaired

The detour impacted traffic in western Greenwich.

Greenwich Police are now reporting that Riversville Road has been reopened to traffic.

Greenwich Police are advising that motorists avoid Riversville Road in western Greenwich.

Eversource crews are on the scene on Riversville Road where there is a downed power line. The road is closed from Pecksland Road to Sherwood Avenue.

Police said the it “will be an extended closure … with the Department of Public Works setting the detour route and an officer directing traffic.”
