Greenwich United Way Receives Challenge Grant

The social services agency must raise $50,000 to match the grant.

The Greenwich United Way announced Tuesday that it has received a one-to-one matching grant from the Tudor Foundation, a charitable giving arm of Tudor Investment Corporation.

The grant will require the United Way to raise $50,000 in new and increased gifts by Feb. 29, 2016. If successful, the grant challenge will raise $100,000 to fund strategically chosen programs and agencies meeting the rising human service needs of the Greenwich community.

“The Tudor Foundation is pleased to support the Greenwich United Way and its efforts to help those in need,” Mike Riccardi, board member of Tudor Foundation and Co-President of Tudor Investment Corporation, said in a statement. “We ask the community to join us in giving to this essential organization.”
