GREENWICH, CT — The historic Gershom Lockwood III House, named after the home's original owner and builder circa 1750, is up for sale in Greenwich, according to Sotheby's.
"It is an excellent example of colonial architecture and is one of the very few mid-18th century structures remaining in Greenwich," the listing says. The home, which is going for $1.15 million, is being listed by Leslie McElwreath of Sotheby's International Realty.
The property at 117 Dingletown Road is set on 1.2 acres of lush lawn, and was designated as being "historic", meaning that future owners cannot demolish it and need permission to perform exterior renovations.
