Mailbox Vandalism Continues in Greenwich
For the third time in recent weeks, vandals have targeted a Greenwich neighborhood.

Greenwich Police are stepping up patrols in hopes of finding those responsible for the latest spate of mailbox vandalism.
A number of mailboxes along section of Riversville Road were vandalized overnight Friday, according to Police Chief James Heavey. “It’s the third time in recent weeks mailboxes have been damaged,” Heavey said.
“It’s frustrating and senseless. It’s happened in Old Greenwich and upper Valley Road in North Mianus,” Heavey said.

“Our officers are out looking for that kind of activity. It’s critical that if people hear something, they call us,” Heavey added.
In November, a number of mailboxes were vandalized in North Mianus and in neighborhoods off Havemeyer Lane in Old Greenwich.
