Why are you seeking this office?
To continue serving the citizens of Greenwich as a fiscal conservative and helping to keep it the best place to live, work and raise a family.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
keeping taxes low. This will be a significant challenge in future years and require close cooperation with the First Selectman and the Board of Education to understand and justify budgets.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Democrats want to raise taxes faster to pay for their unreasonable wish lists of projects and associated spending.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
With Democrats controlling the state government in Hartford, and imposing unreasonable policies, regulation and high taxes on Greenwich, it is critical to maintain Republican control in Greenwich as a bulwark against the Democrat mandates.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have over fourteen years in three different decades of service to the town. That experience is invaluable to my present role on the BET. In the 90s I stepped off the BET when my daughter was born. Now I have the time, energy and ability to serve the town again. Maintaining conservative values while working with all people regardless of affiliation is a basic tenant of my approach to governance.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Listen more than talking.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I ask for your vote for the entire Republican slate on Row B, especially the six Republicans running for the BET so we can retain the chairmanship.
