Probation Violation Charges Lodged Against Greenwich Man

The suspect also is charged with failing to appear in court.

A Greenwich man who accompanied a friend who was housesitting, is facing two counts violation of probation, according to Greenwich Police.

The incident involved the suspect accompanying his friend who was going to feed the cats where he was housesitting. Police did not have details of how that violated the probation terms for David R. Giacomara, 21, of 31 Harold Ave., was convicted of third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny in 2012, according to police.

Giacomara, who was arrested in the Emergency Room of Greenwich Hospital on Dec. 15, also was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court for an operating under suspension charge.

Giacomara was unable to post a total of $45,000 bond set on all of the charges. He’s scheduled to appear Dec. 23 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
