Santa to Arrive for Stamford's 'Heights and Lights'

There is a traffic advisory for the holiday festival in downtown Stamford on Sunday evening.

It’s the annual Heights and Lights holiday event in downtown Stamford Sunday.

From atop Landmark Square — 22 stories high above Stamford downtown — watch and cheer for Santa Claus, Rudolph, Grinch, Celebrity Rappelling Elf Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman and Mrs. Claus, Lindsay Berra, granddaughter of Yogi Berra, as they make their daredevil descent.

Then follow Santa and friends up Bedford Street to Latham Park for an evening of holiday music featuring the cast of Lion King Jr. from Saxe Middle School and join in the countdown of the annual lighting of Stamford’s holiday tree.
