In Wake of Brutal Attack, Greenwich Teen Faces Assault Charge
A group pounced on the victim who was knocked unconscious by a kick to the head.

A group of Greenwich teens set upon another town teen and viciously assaulted the victim in attack that Greenwich Police say was captured on cell phone video.
The 17-year-old suspect surrendered on Dec. 18 to Greenwich Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging him with second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
Police said there was a fight among several teens and that the victim was knocked unconscious when the suspect kicked him in the head. “Several other individuals kicked, spat on and removed the shoes and socks from the unconscious victim,” police said in a report.

“The entire melee was captured on two separate cell phone videos which were later acquired by Greenwich Police,” according to the report. “All of the participants in the incident were positively identified because of past dealings with the police department,” police wrote in their report.
It was not immediately known whether police also obtained arrest warrants for the others involved in the attack.

The suspect, who’s not being identified because of his age, was sent to Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.
