Guilford's Old Quarry Estate Sold For $5.1M, Coldwell Banker Says

The sale of the 3.68 acre estate, in the enclave of Old Quarry, is reported to be the "highest-priced home sale on the shoreline in 2021."

GUILFORD, CT —Joe Piscitelli, a luxury real estate specialist who has been serving the Connecticut Shoreline for more than 35 years, recently closed on his listing at 83 Old Quarry Road in Guilford for $5,137,000, according to a news release form Coldwell Banker. It's reported by the real estate company to be the "highest-priced home sale on the Shoreline in 2021."

The four-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bath home sits on 3.68 acres, a private oasis in the enclave of Old Quarry that boasts 450 feet of private waterfront, a deep-water dock and 180-degree scenic views. It was listed for $5,397,000.

Piscitelli has represented the top five most expensive Shoreline homes sold since 2018, including the highest price ever recorded, and closed $926 million in sales volume over the last decade.

In 2018, Piscitelli listed Rogers Island, a record-shattering Shoreline sale at $21.5 million. His recent portfolio of luxury waterfront sales includes 134 Old Quarry Rd. in Guilford ($7 million, in 2019), 270 Old Quarry Rd. in Guilford ($4.9 million, in 2020) and 51 Flying Point Rd. in Branford ($4.3 million, in 2019).

Piscitelli represented both the seller and the buyer for 83 Old Quarry Rd., which closed on Oct. 25. He was assisted in the sale by John Guarino; both agents are affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty in Milford.

It has increased demand in the luxury market along the shoreline for gorgeous communities such as Old Quarry," he said.

Piscitelli and Guarino are currently under contract on another Old Quarry waterfront listing at 131 Old Quarry Rd., which is listed at $3.1 million. Piscitelli is a certified Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Property Specialist, excelling in high-end homes along the Connecticut shoreline.
