Abandoned Dog Needs Life-Saving Surgery: Hamden Animal Control
Hamden Animal Control officers are trying to raise funds to help an abandoned dog with "serious medical issues" get a life-saving surgery.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Animal Control officers are trying to raise funds to help an abandoned dog with serious medical issues that is scheduled for a “very expensive” life-saving surgery, according to officials.
“Hi everyone! My name is Clover! I need your help!” the animal control wrote in a post on Facebook. “I have some serious medical issues that need urgent care. I’m scheduled for surgery and it’s going to be very expensive. The animal control officers are trying to raise some funds to help me! I swallowed something that is very sharp and is stuck in my stomach. It’s something I ate while I was on the lam after my owners discarded me and I was starving. I had to eat something!
“Won’t you please help me so I can get the surgery that will save my life! Donations can be made by sending or dropping off cash or a check (write donation for Clover in the memo line) to Hamden Animal Control at 2900 Dixwell Ave. Hamden. I will give you all an update when I’m feeling better. ❤️ call 203-230-4080 with questions.”
