Dickerman House

The Spring Glen Garden Club maintains the herb garden at the Jonathan Dickerman House

The Jonathan Dickerman house (1792) on Mount Carmel Avenue is cared for by the Hamden Historical Society. The gardens, which are maintained by the Spring Glen Garden Club, are now ready for winter. The herb garden has been pruned, after new herbs were planted in the spring. The flower beds have been trimmed, and the mums in pots on either side of the front steps, which are still blooming, have been planted in the back. Now flanking the front steps are two planters of greens and winter decorations. The house is open to visitors in the summer but we try to keep the gardens looking nice year round.
