Hamden Local Hero Makes ‘Countless Contributions’ To Community

HAMDEN, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

How do you know the local hero?

She is and has been part of our Branford Jazz Series and privileged to know her as my friend and as a talented musician

What does the local hero do?

Isabella is a singer-songwriter, pianist, composer and educator whose work is rooted in Brazilian jazz and boss nova. Isabella brings musicians together thru her private music studio, IMMusic where she unselfishly teaches private voice and piano lessons to children and adults as well as develops workshops that she has brought to schools and other community organizations. The school is based in Hamden, Ct. where Isabella has been recognized as a "Hamden Notable" for excellence in music. Isabella is a graduate of Southern Ct. State University with a MBA degree in 2009.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

She is the definition of a hero for her unselfish and countless contributions made to her community by way of her passion and desire to share her musical talents for the benefit of others. She is well deserving of this honor.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

How talented, unselfish, loyal, amazing and a "team player" she is to her family, her friends, her followers, and her students and to the town of Hamden.
