Hamden Restaurant Closes Due To ‘Unforeseen Circumstances,’ Owners Announce

HAMDEN, CT — A restaurant in Hamden has closed due to “unforeseen circumstances,” the owners announced Wednesday.

The Wildcat restaurant, located at 3000 Whitney Ave., will be closed for the “foreseeable future,” according to a post on Facebook.

The post also asked people to “respect our families’ privacy.”

It also asked people to follow the restaurant’s Instagram page for updates.

The Wildcat opened in May 2024 in the former home of Brgrko in Hamden.

“Restauranteurs Kris & Shane McGowan welcome you to enjoy carefully curated cocktails paired with eclectic New American dishes in a refined but casual setting,” reads a post on The Wildcat’s website.
