Hamden Senior Holiday Gift Run a Success
Holiday cheer was on the menu Wednesday at the Hamden Senior Center when Santa made an appearance and handed out gifts.
Christmas came a bit early this week for seniors at the third annual Hamden Senior Center during the third annual Holiday Gift Run.
Sponsored by WQUN, the Gift Run was a community effort, bolstered by donations of gifts and cash to buy presents for the town's senior citizens.
On Wednesday, Mayor Scott Jackson was on hand to introduce Santa Claus and his helpers from Hamden Middle School, who distributed the gifts to the appreciative seniors.
