Lane Closures, Bridge Work Announced On Route 15 In Hamden
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is advising motorists of lane closures that will be in effect over several weeks on Route 15.
HAMDEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is advising motorists of lane closures that will be in effect due to bridge work on Route 15 in Hamden.
The bridge work will be performed on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) north and southbound between Exit 51 and 46 in Hamden.
The project, which began Sunday, Nov. 16, is scheduled to be completed on Friday, Dec. 19, according to officials.

“This project ensures the bridges remains in a state of good repair,” officials wrote in the advisory.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be lanes closures on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) north and southbound between Exits 51 and 46 in Hamden from Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, to Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns, State Troopers, and Crash Units will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
