'Love is in the Air': A Valentine’s Day Celebration In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Town Clerk’s Office announces “Love is in the Air,” an event offering complimentary marriage ceremonies on Valentine's Day. This special day provides a wonderful opportunity for couples to celebrate their love in a memorable way.

Date & Venue: Join us on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Town Hall, located at 2372 Whitney Avenue in Hamden. This event will be filled with love and celebration.

Limited Opportunity: Act Now! Availability for this event is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage interested couples to contact us by January 31, 2024, at 203-287-7028, via email at townclerk@hamden.com, or in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, located on the 1st floor of Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden.

What We Offer (at no cost to applicants):

• Marriage License
• A Certified Copy of the Marriage Certificate
• Officiation by a Justice of the Peace
• A small, intimate reception to celebrate your union

Eligibility:

• Open exclusively to Hamden residents

Registration Process:

• Availability: Reach out to the Town Clerk’s office to check for available slots.
• Preparation: Complete the Marriage License Worksheet, available in-person, by mail, or online: https://hamden.com/DocumentCenter/View/443/Marriage-License-Worksheet
• Finalization: Submit the completed worksheet along with valid photo IDs to the Town Clerk’s Office to finalize your application.
