Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration To Be Held In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Black History Committee will host a Birthday Celebration for the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14 at the Bible Gospel Center, at 143 Leeder Hill Drive in Hamden.

Please join us this Sunday to celebrate and highlight the messages of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a robust program including speakers, musical performances, and light fare. The theme of the evening is “Holding Onto Hope In Tough Times.”

The Hamden Black History Committee raises funds every year for book awards to graduating Hamden High School students. In 2023, several donors gave funds that went beyond the goal of 10 book awards.
