HAMDEN, CT — The Town of Hamden will host a Menorah Lighting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Freedom Park, located at the corner of Whitney and Dixwell Avenues. All are invited.
“Please join us in this celebration of Light as we kindle the Menorah in honor of the Chanukah Holiday, which began over 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem,” officials wrote in a news release. “Menorah candles are lit after dark, at sundown, symbolizing ‘illuminating the night’ and bringing light to the world.”
