Obituary: Bernard Thomas Brennan, 88, of Hamden
Bernard was an employee of the Regional Water Authority for 50 years, a proud U.S. Marine and an active member of the Hamden community.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home) Bernard Thomas Brennan, 88, of Hamden, husband of the late Inez Gallagher Brennan, passed away peacefully in his home on June 14, 2022.
Born in Williamstown, PA on December 31, 1933 to the late Marlin and Blanche Griffith Brennan, Bernard will be lovingly remembered by his children; Bernard T. Brennan, Jr. and his wife Cynthia P., Timothy P. Brennan and his wife Lisa P., and Mary F. Brennan; grandchildren, Kellan, Shane, Bowen, Allie and Jay Brennan; and siblings, Margaret Bowerman and Marlin Brennan.
Predeceased by his sister, Joan Marley and his brothers, Edward and Vincent Brennan.
Bernard was a proud U.S. Marine, having served three years in the Korean War. After leaving the service, Bernard and Inez moved to Hamden, where home had been for the last 66 years.
He worked for the Regional Water Authority and ran their credit union for 50 years. For over 20 years, Bernard enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball with the Hamden Fathers Association.
He was an avid UConn basketball and Notre Dame football fan.
Friends are invited to visit with Bernard’s family on Friday, June 17th from 8:30 to10:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rita’s Church. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
