Doris A Jackson (Lee),73, a longtime resident of Hamden, passed away surrounded by family on April 6, 2024, at Branford Hospice. Doris was born on August 31, 1950, to Buster and Gertrude Lee.

Doris worked for First Student as a bus driver for almost 20 years before falling ill.

Doris is survived by her husband of 54 years James (Charlie) Jackson, her daughters Tracy Jackson of Hamden, Simone (Tyrone) Freeman of New Haven and Robin Jackson of Hamden, her grandchildren Brandon Jackson of Naugatuck and Mallory Jackson of Hamden, brothers Denis (Ellen) Lee of Tucson, AZ and Terry Lee of Tucson, AZ as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Doris was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 35 years and was an active member of the Wintergreen Hills congregation in Hamden.

Doris was predeceased by her parents Buster and Gertrude, her older brothers Frederick Emery, Leonard Lee, and William (Billy) Lee.
