Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle: Hamden PD
The road is expected to be closed for several hours while the crash is investigated, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded around 7:35 p.m. to the 900 block of Dixwell Avenue on the report of a crash involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to Lt. Raymond Quinn.
Quinn said no vehicles or people were being sought on Tuesday night.

Dixwell Avenue between Pine Street and George Street is closed to all traffic in both directions while the Hamden Police Department Accident Reconstruction Unit investigates the crash, according to Quinn.
Quinn said that the area is expected to remain closed to all traffic for the next few hours.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area if possible.
